　　2010年上海世博会中国园“亩中山水”位于黄浦江滨水南岸、世博会演艺中心以东、浦明路北侧水门广场以西，在世博会期间是重要的人流聚集、停留、转换的中转站；在世博会后，中国园将与中国馆等为数不多的场馆存留下来作为会后文化遗产，继续为市民服务。

　　中国园的设计围绕两点展开：一是对中国的文化遗产特性的展现并兼顾国际性；二是体现中国的当代性特点。由此提出了“当代中式”园林的设计目标。通过将“亩”与“园”结合，以传统“亩”为单位，在现代场景中再现中国传统名园中九种深入人心的意境，启发小中见大的想象力，并结合了现代的实用功能要求和元素，亩中造景。

　　场地整体规划由两个部分组成：静谧幽雅的竹林和深藏其中的具有中国传统韵味的“亩中山水”系列，包括：由叠翠亩、桥影亩、听雨轩和荷香馆组成的凝翠园与石笋园、叠石园、映月园、盆景园和环秀园。

　　The Chinese Garden for Shanghai 2010 Expo is located on 6.7 acres on the east side of the Nation’s Chinese pavilion in Shanghai. Prominently located next to the main performance venue， the park will serve as a leisure ground to the estimated seventy million Expo visitors from around the world.

　　The concept comes from the traditional Chinese gardening， as the evolution of the classical garden is deeply rooted in the history of China. The development and design practices are harmonized with tradition in order to retain their cultural integrity in the current age of globalization. During the Expo 2010 and beyond， the Chinese Garden Park will showcase China’s invaluable culture for visitors and international design professionals.
